Secrets of the Millionaire Mind
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker is an inspiring piece of literature for anyone who's
hoping to spark that spirit of the right to be wealthy in their souls. I've read it twice, and have come away feeling good and
enriched both times.
Eker tells his tale of growing up in a family that alternated between poverty and wealth, depending on what stage his father's
home building business was in. He says the good times were great, the bad times stunk, and his "money blueprint" was created
during this time, which he lived until he came to a realization that he didn't always have to make money only to lose money.
In this book, he goes through 17 wealth principles, things it seems I already knew but had never really put together in my mind
until I read his book, that will help you focus your thoughts better on why wealth is not only NOT a bad thing, but can be a
very good thing.
Two stories in particular caught my attention. One was his recognition that, while watching
Oprah, he was feeling jealous towards her because of how wealthy he knew she was instead of
embracing and being happy for her and deciding he wanted the same thing in his life. The second was his first interaction
with rich people in a new neighborhood he moved into, and how they embraced him with a welcome wagon like greeting, and an
invitation to a party, where he realized just how generous to charities wealthy people can be because they have both the means
and the will to help.
In the book, he also offers a link to one of his websites where you can sign up to receive motivational messages, join his
newsletter, and download affirmation statements for your own personal use. Because, deep down, this guy is a master marketer,
and he doesn't allow the boundaries of a book to keep him from finding ways to reach into your mind and pocket to help keep him
wealthy. And yet, one doesn't mind, because the words he uses are powerful enough, and you feel so good that you just want to
participate in the process as much as possible.
I recommend everyone who has goals in their life read Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, and follow some of the principles
he lays out. And maybe one day you'll have a money jar for fun like I have sitting next to me.
