Sendoutcards.com

SendOutCards.com is an internet network marketing enterprise that allows people to market online greeting cards for personal and business use. However, that's not its main purpose. Its main purpose is as a greeting card service for corporate and personal customers.

Based on what I looked at, as I looked both the requester's page and the main page for the reseller, it looks like an individual would be allowed to make some minor modifications to the initial page, a brief bit of personalization. Overall, the template will remain the same as the original.

It's actually a fairly interesting idea, though one might initially compare it to American Greetings and Blue Mountain. However, you lose that thought once you realize that, unless invited, you don't get to send these cards for free. You must contact a distributor, or fill out a form and someone will contact you.

And they look nothing like the cards one might send on those other two sites either. These cards are more customizable as far as what you can say on them, and the company allows for both corporate and individual accounts. You also get to send cards at a moment's notice for any reason, whether it's National Hugging Day (which was what was flashing on its main page when I reviewed it) or Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; you don't have to wait for a specific holiday or event. With an account, you can also have your signature scanned in, which helps to personalize the cards even more.

With an account, you also have access to an online contact manager, scheduled times to send out cards (so you don't have to remember dates), access to gift cards, and a personal calendar with reminders, all as part of the package for signing up. They have a video where you can see how it all works, and it looks like it would work well.

One thing I found interesting was under the tab called "Distributor Tools", which has links to other related sites that offer training and support for the program. In other words, if you decided to market this product, you're not left on your own with little information on how to do it. And you get to see the company that actually prints and mails out your cards for you.

I'm of two minds on this one. I like the idea, from a buyer perspective, because I believe, if my clients were numerous, and family and friends vast, that something like this would really be a great thing. You'd never forget birthdays or anniversaries; you could thank your clients and remind them of specials or anything else you want to think of. You could customize cards for special holidays or events such as Secretaries Day, and add gift cards for graduations or weddings.

On the other end, because all the templates go through the main site, and, I assume, it's relatively new (because the site has no page rank through either Google or Alexa), it's the type of online business where all marketing goes through the marketer; just like most of the other network marketing businesses. If one clicks on the "income opportunity" tab, it lists 7 ways one can earn money. The cost to join is $99 to become a distributor, but you can pay for extended packages that offer more benefits.

So, if you're looking for a product that will send out greetings cards of all types for you, Sendoutcards.com is pretty good. If you're looking for a product to market as a business, it's as good as any other. If you're looking to recruit others,… I'd rather not go there.
